快播视频 State hosting Campus Cleanup Days

快播视频, AL – 快播视频 State Community College is hosting its annual Campus Cleanup Days as a part of its Community College Month activities. This annual event is organized by the Office of Student Life and encourages 快播视频 State students, employees, alumni and community supporters to come together and give back by making campuses and surrounding areas cleaner and greener.

“We’re excited to celebrate Community College Month by engaging our campus and community members in meaningful ways,” said Lynn Patterson, director of Student Life and organizer of the cleanup campaign. “This campaign fosters a sense of pride and unity while also reminding us of the importance of environmental stewardship. By working together, we’re helping to create a cleaner, welcoming environment for everyone.”

Volunteers who wish to clean on the Wallace Drive or East Broad campuses should gather at 10 a.m. April 2 at the Beck Conference Center to sign waivers and receive supplies. Volunteers will return at 3 p.m. for trash drop-off, pizza and door prizes.

On April 7, the Campus Cleanup Day will move to 快播视频 State Cherokee in Centre. Volunteers can pick up waivers and supplies beginning at 10 a.m. in the Admissions Office. Trash should be dropped off at the back steps of the education building at 3 p.m. this cleanup will also extend to other public areas in Centre.

The Valley Street Campus is planning a Cleanup Day on April 15. Those interested should contact Ricky Tillis, campus director, at 256.549.8678 for more details.

For two consecutive years, the Campus Cleanup Campaign at 快播视频 State has been recognized by the Alabama People Against a Littered State and Coca-Cola UNITED for its successful campus clean-up efforts. During the annual PALS Governor’s Awards Ceremony in November, the College was honored for having the most successful cleanup campaign among community colleges in the state. Last year, volunteers collected almost 8,000 pounds of litter, an achievement that earned the campaign the Campus Cleanup Scholarship worth $1,000.
